Baking soda is so handy for so many things

Clean Fresh Produce

So you just bought some beautiful, fresh produce, and you need to remove the remaining dirt, but soap is not an option and water just won’t cut it. Here’s where baking soda steps in. Let your produce soak for a few minutes in a mix of 1 tsp of baking soda per 2 cups of water. Or, if you’re in a hurry, you can scrub the produce with a soaked washcloth. After a quick rinse, your product should be clean and ready to go.

Whiten and Brighten Clothes

Are your clothes looking a bit dull? Adding a cup of baking soda to your next load of laundry will not only brighten your clothes, but they may come out cleaner, too. This is because baking soda is an alkali (a soluble salt), making it great at removing stains. This is also effective in keeping your clothes from wearing and having them last longer.
